The purpose of collecting data during visits to our website is to provide our customers with the best possible experience, improve website functionality, and generate useful and accurate statistics. Additionally, your data is used to tailor our marketing efforts and target relevant recipients, including retargeting via LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google, and YouTube, if you have consented to marketing cookies. The collected data includes your IP address, network location, duration of website usage, browser information, and details about the platform you use to access our website.

The data collected includes your email address, name, postal code, and optionally your phone number, job title, and company/organization (as well as your consent to receive the newsletter).

The legal basis for collecting data when subscribing to our newsletter is Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Source of information:
Your data comes from the subscription form that is filled out when subscribing to the newsletter or from your inquiry via our website.
Data storage:
Your data is stored by MailChimp and complies with all applicable legal requirements of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. As long as you are subscribed to the newsletter, we will retain your data, and once you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted according to applicable rules.
3) When you are a customer with us:
The data collected in connection with you and your organization becoming a customer with A-speakers is processed to provide you and the organization you represent with the best possible customer experience, establish professional contact with you and your organization for seamless communication, and ensure a successful collaboration with you and your organization.
The data collected includes your name, email address, phone number, address, the organization you represent, and other information you may provide for communication and purchases, excluding sensitive personal data.
Legal basis:
The legal basis for processing your data when your organization becomes a customer is Article 6(1)(b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, which pertains to the necessity for our contractual obligations and our legitimate interest. A-speakers’ purposes for collecting personal information may include one or more of the following: processing your reservation or booking of a lecture, course, or workshop with A-speakers, contacting you with invitations to customer events and specific offers for lectures, as well as inspiration and news, improving and developing A-speakers’ services, customizing A-speakers’ communication and marketing to you, analyzing your user behavior and remarketing, administering your relationship with A-speakers, and fulfilling legal requirements.
Data storage:
At Athenas, we retain collected data related to sales for as long as we have a legitimate basis for doing so. We, of course, comply with relevant legislation regarding deletion deadlines. In order to be able to utilize all the above-mentioned partners, we may need to transfer personal data to third parties that are not established in the EU/European Economic Area (EEA). If and to the extent that we transfer your personal data to such third parties established in third countries, we are obliged to ensure that the respective entity is sufficiently certified or enters into agreements based on EU standard contract clauses to ensure that the basis for the transfer is lawful.
If you receive our newsletter, your data is stored by Mailchimp, which uses data centers that may be located outside the EU and the EEA. Mailchimp is a member of the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield framework, which has been approved by the European Commission as having an adequate level of protection. As long as you are subscribed to the newsletter, we retain your data, and once you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted in accordance with applicable rules.
Your data is stored as long as A-speakers has a legitimate purpose for it and in accordance with applicable rules.
